Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore facial volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance features. They are designed to temporarily improve the appearance of the skin by filling in lines and adding volume to areas that have lost elasticity or fullness.
THE BENEFITS:
Dermal fillers are injected using a fine needle or cannula into specific areas of the skin. The placement and depth of the injection depend on the type of filler used and the desired outcome.
Duration:
45-60 minutes.
Recommended Sessions:
Many dermal fillers, especially hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, can achieve desired results in a single session. However, the amount of filler used and the treatment areas will determine the need for additional sessions.
Your provider will create a customized treatment plan based on your specific needs and goals. They will determine the optimal number of sessions required for initial results and future maintenance.
Side Effects:
Minor side effects may be experienced, but they will subside quickly. Redness, swelling and bruising may occur. For the complete healing effect, please allow two to three weeks.
After Treatment Care:
To avoid a higher probability of bruising, we recommend you stop taking any over-the-counter blood thinners, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, one week prior to your appointment. A few days prior to your appointment avoid consuming alcohol, waxing or using any type of hair removal product on the area of injection, and stop using topical products such as tretinoin, glycolic acids, retinols or any other anti-aging products that could potentially add irritation to the area of injection.
Most dermal fillers provide instant results, such as plumping and wrinkle smoothing.
The effects of dermal fillers can last from several months to a few years, depending on the type of filler used, the area treated, and individual factors.
