About the Condition

Melasma is a common form of hyperpigmentation that appears as brown or gray-brown patches on the face. It most frequently develops on the cheeks, forehead, bridge of the nose, chin, and upper lip, but can also occur on other sun-exposed areas.

Sun exposure and hormonal influences are the primary triggers. While melasma can affect anyone, it is more common in women and individuals with medium to deeper skin tones.

I just did my first Russian manicure with Anastasiya and all I can say is WOW. I’ve been doing shellac manicures for years now and it has almost become a burden to schedule it every 2 weeks because the shellac always peels and looks grown out after about a week. My manicure with Anastasiya was impeccable. She spent her time making sure my cuticles were impeccable and then took her time doing the shellac. I’ve never had a more perfect manicure. It’s been a few weeks now and it still looks great! It takes a little bit longer (1.5 hours) but totally worth the time and money if I only have to go every month or so.

 

All in all, a great couple of hours spent pampering myself at this spa. The space is gorgeous and makes it easy to relax (something I rarely get as a mom of 3).

“Definitely now my go-to recommendation for nails! Had a pedicure with Binoda and she was absolutely amazing.”

On the pricier side for a pedicure (expected for Liberty Village of course), but worth every penny as someone who works 10+ hours on their feet everyday and hasn’t gotten anywhere close to this type of treatment at your typical nail salon.

 

Customer service is also amazing, a woman came in during my treatment and I happened to overhear the conversation. She was very rude and confrontational right from the start, the employee at the desk handled the entire interaction a heck of a lot better than I would’ve if I were her.
10/10 overall!

CURES Beaute is by far the best nail place I’ve been to in Toronto!! Being originally from New York City and having tried a lot of nail places in my lifetime, I would say I’m pretty picky. Anastasia is the absolutely best and gave me my first life-changing Russian manicure, and I now go back regularly for one

 

She has a level of detail and precision like no other technician I’ve been to, her care is top notch, she’s kind, and I leave with the most impeccable nails!! The way she cuts your cuticles prevents that annoying thing that happens with a gel manicure where you start to have a space between the cuticle and nail color as your nails grow. If Anastasia isn’t available, Emilie is also very good and sweet! Customer service from both is 10/10!

Wow – Not to be dramatic but I got my nails done by Disha, and she gave me hands down the BEST manicure of my entire life. Not kidding.

CURES overall was a great experience – super cleanly, super professional. Top level experience for an appropriate price.
